Insight into Eye, Organ Tissue and Body Donation

1. Upon your death, your mortal remain can benefit innumerable needy souls.

2 Such donations can be  effected only by your legal heir or person holding registered power of attorney to that effect. As such their consent will only make way for donation you desire.

3 Filling up of Pledge Forms is individual's wish and not mandatory. It is not enforceable by law.

4 Upon natural death you can donate eyes,skin,bones and Body( cadaver ). 

5 Cadevar is required for students in first year of medical studies in  Anatomy  subject irrespective of MBBS,BAMS, BHMS etc.

6 Organs can be donated only in case of Brain Death, a situation to be confirmed only by experts following series of tests.

7 Body donation is not permissible in case of organ donation. But Eye donation can take place.

8 If certain medical conditions ( cancer, rabies, AIDS and few other) exist in deceased, no donation is permissible.
